O'Hare has four terminals, and each has a different pickup location for car services and taxis. If you've ever stood at the wrong door watching cars loop past without stopping, this guide is for you. Here's exactly where to go at each terminal when you land at O'Hare.
The Short Version
For all terminals: take the elevator or escalator down to the lower level (Arrivals). Exit the building and look for the center lane marked "Car Services" or "TNP" (Transportation Network Provider). Your driver will be in this lane — not the taxi lane, not the rideshare lane, but the car services/TNP lane.
You'll receive a text when your driver arrives with their name, vehicle description, and license plate. Look for that vehicle specifically.
Terminal-by-Terminal Pickup Locations
Terminal 1 — United Airlines (Concourses B & C)
Pickup level: Lower level, Door 1E or 1F.
What to look for: Exit baggage claim through the doors to the lower level curb. Walk toward the center lanes — not the immediate curb (that's taxis/buses). The Car Services/TNP lane is the middle lane, typically clearly signed.
Note: Terminal 1 is the largest at O'Hare. Allow extra walking time from remote gates in Concourse B.
Terminal 2 — Air Canada & Partners
Pickup level: Lower level, Door 2E or 2F.
What to look for: Terminal 2 is connected to Terminal 1 airside but has its own ground floor exit. Exit through the lower level sliding doors. The TNP/Car Services lane is directly in front, center lane.
Note: Terminal 2 is smaller and less congested. Pickup is typically straightforward.
Terminal 3 — American, Delta, Spirit & Others (Concourses G, H, K, L)
Pickup level: Lower level, Door 3E or 3F.
What to look for: Follow "Arrivals / Ground Transportation" signs downstairs. Exit curbside and move toward the center lane marked "Car Services/TNP." This area can be very busy during peak periods — use your driver's text confirmation to locate the exact vehicle.
Note: Terminal 3 is the busiest for domestic flights. Give yourself extra time to exit baggage claim, especially during peak hours.
Terminal 5 — International Arrivals
Pickup level: Lower level, Vestibule 5D or 5E.
What to look for: After clearing Customs and Immigration, follow signs to "Ground Transportation." Exit through the vestibule doors (5D is on the left, 5E is on the right). Your driver will be waiting outside the vestibule doors at the curb.
Note: Terminal 5 pickups take longer due to customs processing. If your flight lands on time, you may still spend 30–90 minutes in customs. We track your actual exit time, not just your landing time.
If You Can't Find Your Driver
First, check the text message you received — it has your driver's name, vehicle make, model, and license plate. Look for those specific details rather than just scanning faces.
If you've been waiting more than 5 minutes and cannot locate your driver:
- Call the phone number in your driver text confirmation directly
- If no answer, call our dispatch at (224) 421-0183
- Confirm you are at the correct terminal's lower level, center lane
How Our Flight Tracking Works
When you book a return pickup from O'Hare, we ask for your flight number. From the moment your inbound plane departs its origin city, we track it. If your flight lands 45 minutes early, your driver arrives early. If it's delayed 2 hours, your driver doesn't show up until you actually land.
You'll receive a text notification when we confirm your landing and when your driver is en route to the pickup area. The text includes a countdown and the driver's vehicle details.
Arriving with Oversized Luggage or Strollers
O'Hare's lower level curb can be narrow and crowded during peak hours. If you have oversized items, let us know at booking so we can confirm the right vehicle and give your driver a heads up. Our drivers are experienced at loading and unloading without delaying your exit from the curb.
